New York, 24 May, 2022 (Lana) - Libya's representative to the United Nations, Taher Al-Sunni, reviewed, during his meeting with the US representative, Ambassador Linda Greenfield, the developments of the current situation and the challenges facing the political track in Libya.

 Al-Sunni said in his tweet: "The importance of America's role in supporting peaceful solutions to the crisis was emphasized to avoid any military escalation or armed confrontations."

"We discussed international efforts and the various ongoing dialogues and the importance of leading to a national consensus for the completion of the general elections as soon as possible." He added.

 The two sides also discussed "the impact of the current international crisis on Libya and the region, and how to support security and economic stability, not to transfer the conflict to Libya, and end all kinds of foreign interference."
