Tripoli, 18 May 2022 (Lana) The General Electricity Company on Tuesday signed an agreement with France's Total Energy to build a 500-megawatt solar power plant in the Al Sadada area.

The agreement, according to the company's SMS page, is part of a joint collaboration with the Renewable Energies Authority to implement the strategic plan to integrate the electricity generated from renewable energy sources to increase the electricity capacity of the Libyan network.
