Tobruk, 25 January, 2022 (Lana) Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aguila Saleh, reviewed in the morning session of this day the conditions that must be met by the candidate for prime minister.

The conditions included that the candidate should be of Libyan nationality, enjoy full legal capacity, not be married to a non-Libyan, be of good conduct and behavior, “and that he be healthy and submit a written pledge not to run for the upcoming elections,” holding a national number, registered in the voters’ registry, and completed 25 years Of age on the day of registration and holder of an accredited university degree or its equivalent and not have been convicted of a felony or misdemeanor involving moral turpitude unless he has been rehabilitated and not hold the nationality of another foreign country unless authorized and that be recommended by one-hundred (100 (voters from his constituency) .
