Williams discusses with Qatari Ambassador to Libya latest political situation in Libya.

 Tripoli, 22 January 2022 (Lana) UN Secretary General Special Adviser on Libya Stephanie Williams discussed with the Qatari Ambassador to Libya Khaled Al-Dosari during a meeting in Tripoli on Thursday, the political situation in the country, especially with regard to the election process. Williams said in a tweet that more embassies would resume their work from Libya, saying it was encouraging.

"We stressed during the meeting the need for the strong and unified support by the international community for the Libyan people, and for the electoral process in Libya, Williams said.

For his part, Al Dosari expressed Qatar's full support for the UN efforts in Libya, stressing the need for a strong and unified support from the international community for the Libyan people and the electoral process.
