Speaker of House of Representatives confirms that Parliament is in session without having to call it to reconvene.

 Tobruk, 18 January 2022 (Lana) Speaker of the House of Representatives Ageela Saleh called on the Roadmap Committee to communicate and consult with the Attorney General, the election commission, the Civil Status Department and those it deems necessary to consult, and to submit a report to the office of the House of Representatives by the end of January, and said the report must include the necessary stages to remove the obstacles that prevented the holding of the elections on December 24 last year and set an inevitable date, and an integrated road map up to that date.

In his speech at Tuesday's session, the Speaker of the House of Representatives stressed the need for members of the House to attend and participate in its sessions, stressing that the presidency of the House will take legal measures against absent members.

Saleh asked the office of the rapporteur to present the electoral laws, salaries, internal security, and investment portfolios laws in next week's session and the following week, and to distribute the proposals of the bills to the members of the Council such as the report of the roadmap committee.

The Speaker noted that Parliament is in session and there is no need for a call to reconvene.
