Tripoli, January 15, 2022 (LANA) - The French archaeological mission to Libya announced the start of a project to rehabilitate the National Museum in Tripoli, in cooperation with the Grac Poitiers University and the ALIPH Fund.

The French Embassy in Libya stated on its official Facebook page that the French archaeological mission to Libya started its second mission for the French-Libyan project to rehabilitate the National Museum in Tripoli, in coordination with the French Embassy in Libya and the Libyan Embassy in France.

It is noteworthy that the Al-Saray Al-Hamra Museum complex in Tripoli is one of the oldest and largest Libyan museums. It is also practically divided into four museums that display the heritage and history of Libya across different time periods, including the civilizations of the Libyan tribes, the Greeks, the Phoenicians, the Romans, the Byzantines and the Arab eras.
