Williams calls from Ankara for a coherent and comprehensive regional and international support for Libya.

  Ankara, January 15, 2022 (LANA) - The Special Adviser to the Secretary-General of the United Nations on Libya, Stephanie Williams, held talks in Ankara with Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkey, Sedat Unal and Special Envoy, Ambassador “Can Dizdar” on the latest political developments in Libya, the electoral process and the way forward in this regard.

 In a tweet posted on her Twitter account, Williams described her discussions with the Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister in Ankara as very fruitful.

 In her tweet, Williams added, "We agreed on the importance of coherent and comprehensive regional and international support for Libya, based on building on the progress made in the existing Libyan-Libyan dialogue."

 "We stressed the need to strengthen the spirit of consensus among the Libyan parties for the common good of the country," Williams said.
