President of Presidential Council discusses with delegation from Benghazi a number of issues concerning the city and its university.

 Tripoli, 13 January 2022 (Lana) The president of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Al Mnefi met Thursday, in Tripoli with a delegation from Benghazi, led by an MP from the city, Aisha Al-Tabalqi, and The University of Benghazi's vice chancellor for scientific affairs, Dr. Abdul Karim Al-Ghazali, to discuss a number of issues related to the city of Benghazi.

 The meeting focused on the problems experienced by the University of Benghazi, especially with regard to its stalled projects, the development and modernization of factories and the central library, the review of correspondence with the competent authorities, and the need to advance construction and reconstruction at the university.

The meeting also discussed the mechanism of unifying the Agricultural Bank, ending the state of division and support of the institution, so that it can play its role to the fullest and contribute to development of agricultural projects.

 For his part, the President of the Presidential Council stressed his keenness to rebuild and develop the infrastructure of the city of Benghazi, especially the University of Benghazi, which is one of the oldest Libyan and Arab universities, and the importance of working with the competent executive bodies to support them.
