NCDC records 698 positive Coronavirus in the past 24 hours after testing of 5,572 samples, 533 recoveries, 12 deaths across Libya.

 Tripoli, 5 January 2022 (Lana) The National Center for Disease Control NCDC said it has recorded 698 new positive Coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours after testing of 5,572 samples, 533 recoveries and 12 deaths throughout Libya.

 According to the daily update of the local epidemiological situation of the Coronavirus on Tuesday, January 04, 2022, the NCDC issued statement No. (605) in which it said it received a 5,572 samples from 24 scientific laboratories in different cities and after examining the samples with Real Time PCR, the results were as follows: -

 - 4874 negative samples.

 - 698 positive samples.

 - The percentage of positive cases (12.5%).

 - 139 critical cases.

The NCDC Communication and Health Information Committee pointed out that there were 533 recoveries and 12 deaths, of which 7 in the western region, 5 in the eastern region and no deaths were recorded in the southern region.

This brings to 391633 the number of Coronavirus infections in Libya, of which 7302 active cases, 378579 recoveries, 5752 deaths across Libya as of Tuesday Jan. 4. 2021.
