OPEC decides to exempt Libya from agreed production cuts.

 Tripoli, 5 January 2022 (Lana) Minister of Oil and Gas Mohamed Aoun participated through closed circuit in the 24th meeting of the Ministerial Council of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) with the participation of non-OPEC ministers, to discuss the agenda that included many topics.

The Ministry of Oil said in a press briefing, the meeting focused on the report of the Joint Ministerial Committee, and OPEC Secretariat presentation of global market expectations, agreeing to continue compensation for last year's reductions of 400,000 barrels for next February, and continuing to exempt the state of Libya from agreed production cuts.
