Tripoli, January 04, 2022 (LANA) - During her meeting today with "Mohamed Sawan" and "Nizar Kawan" of the Democratic Party in Tripoli and a number of party leaders, the Adviser to the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Libya "Stephanie Williams" reviewed the urgent need to maintain the momentum for holding national elections in the shortest possible time frame.

Stephanie Williams also enjoyed a presentation on the party's vision for the way forward, relying on broad popular support for the elections and the will of nearly 2.5 million Libyans who received their electoral cards for the purpose of voting, according to what was published by the United Nations Support Mission in Libya on its website.
